Emile Henry Delight Tagine with White Lid 33cm dia.

Sale price£219.00

The Delight Tagine allows you to create delicious traditional recipes for tagines and other simmered dishes, on all types of heat sources (including induction) and in the oven.

Made from the latest innovative ceramic, it is light and offers the advantage of healthy cooking which respects the nutritional qualities of the ingredients used. Highly reactive for browning, on it can also be gentle and diffuse the heat evenly for gentle simmering, bringing out the delicate flavours of the ingredients. The result is tender, moist and full of flavour, thanks to the unique shape of the lid which allows the evaporated juices to circulate. The sleek lines of the black lid and the generous black base provide elegant service on the table and enhance all kinds of recipes, both exotic or more traditional.

Its naturally non-stick glaze makes it easy to clean (dishwasher proof) and maintain. All Emile Henry products are made in France and offer a ten year guarantee.

Care & Use

Cleaning:

Emile Henry products are very easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. Burnt-on residue may be removed by pre-soaking the cookware for 10 minutes.

Cracks in glaze:

Heating the dish: Slow heating is recommended. We do not recommend pre-heating an empty pot (except when using a no-knead bread or bread recipes).

Food cooked in clay dishes takes longer to heat than food cooked in metal ones due to differences in heat diffusion - usually around ten minutes longer.

Once on the table, your dish will retain its heat and thus keep your dish warm for a longer period of time.

Emile Henry products can be used with gas, electric and halogen heat sources. (Excluding the Pizza Stone & Grilling/Baking Stone)

Resistance Against Mechanical Shocks:

During everyday use, there are many opportunities to bang a dish or a set of plates. Particularly resistant to shocks, our ceramic is even used in restaurants!

Resistance Against Temperature Changes:

A dish or stew pot should be able to withstand wide variations in temperature. Our ceramics allow our products to be taken directly from the freezer to the hot oven (+250°C/500°F).

Resistance Against Fading Colours:

Heat, the dishwasher or sharp instruments will all have an aging effect on a product. Our glazes are particularly resistant to the dishwasher and the most aggressive of detergents.

A wide range of ovenware made from HR Ceramic (High Resistance), for use in the oven up to 270C (520F).
