Safety is paramount when handling and also selling knives and products with a blade. When placing an order for one or more ‘Age Restricted’ products you are declaring that you are 18 years of age or over. These items must be used responsibly and appropriately. We use a software package called Age Check to ensure that you are over 18 when buying your knife. It’s quick and easy and is useable on other platforms for other ‘Age Related’ purchases.

Our courier can only deliver to the address on the shipping label, but this can easily include the reception of a place of work or office building. A signature of the recipient will be required upon delivery.  Simmer and Slice ensure that everyone within the business adopts a 'Challenge 25' approach to the delivery or collection of ‘Age Restricted’ products, for this we will require I.D. before dispatching your order. Delivery to a neighbour or nominated safe place location is not available for these items.  All age restricted goods are delivered by DHL and cannot be delivered by any other courier. A flat of £10 fee is initiated on all purchases that include ‘Age Restricted’ goods.

Express checkout: If you are using an express checkout method on the product page you will not be asked to Age Verify yourself, however valid I.D. will still be required before your order is dispatched.  For this we will require a photo of either one of the following:

  • Passport (with supporting documents i.e. utility bill)
  • Driver License
