The Vacu Vin Lever Corkscrew Horizontal is an elegant corkscrew wine bottle opener for every occasion and every situation. It’s the bottle opener corkscrew of choice for sommeliers and wine connoisseur alike. The Lever Corkscrew Horizontal model boasts a specially horizontal designed frame with a gear and lever mechanism.
After removing the wine bottle foil, open up the vertical lever and place the corkscrew bottle opener on the wine bottle by sliding the lower half with the rubber grips over the top. Firmly grip the arms to hold in place and fold the lever back downwards to screw into the cork stopper. Then fold the lever back upward to remove the wine cork.
This wine corkscrew is easy to operate and requires very little strength to open a bottle of wine without damaging the cork. The corkscrews highly efficient system enables any wine cork (irrespective of length) to be extracted in a continuous, smooth, vertical motion. The grooved corkscrew bottle opener slides easily into all corks, both natural or synthetic and makes opening bottles of wine effortless. Care & Use for Vacu Vin
Can I use older wine saver pumps or wine stoppers in combination with new products?
You can use the new Wine Stoppers with your old Wine Saver pump. The old Wine Stoppers can also be used with the new Wine Saver pump. Only one exception for the Wine Saver & Server; this product is only compatible with the Wine Server & Stoppers.
What if the vacuum of my wine stopper isn't holding?
The most common problem when the vacuum is leaking, is because the Wine Stopper is not clean. Dust or dirt on the stopper can cause the vacuum to leak. This can easily be solved by washing the Wine Stopper, preferably in the dishwasher. To do so, it is best to take the Wine Stopper apart.
Can I store the bottles laying down with the wine stoppers on them?
We recommend not to store wine bottles with a Wine Stopper laying down. When a bottle is sealed with a Wine Stopper, the best way to keep your wine fresh is to store it standing up straight. Otherwise, the wine can get into the Wine Stopper, which will make the vacuum leak. Moreover, wine can also be sucked into the pump with the next use, which will make the pump sticky and stop it from functioning properly.
How to clean the wine saver pump
It can happen that little bits of wine get sucked into the pump while creating a vacuum. This will result in a sticky pump. You can clean it with a damp cloth and dishwashing soap. Let the pump dry and apply a little Vaseline (or similar grease) on the inside of the pump and the pump works just fine again. Please note: never put your pump in the dishwasher or submerge it in water!
