Emile Henry Small Loaf Dish Burgundy

Sale price£27.00

From fruit cake to brioche, the Emile Henry Small Loaf Dish bakes your homemade cakes, sweet or savoury, right to the centre without drying out the edges.

Thanks to the HR ceramic (High Resistance), the heat is spread slowly and evenly, so that your gingerbread, sponge cake or olive cake rises perfectly and can be served directly from the dish, deliciously soft and light. You can cut directly in the dish thanks to the resistant glaze, and the small handles make it easy to transfer from the oven to the table. A quick clean using a sponge is sufficient, or in the dishwasher.

Care & Use

HR Ceramic:

Resistance Against Mechanical Shocks: During everyday use, there are many opportunities to bang a dish or a set of plates. Particularly resistant to shocks, our ceramic is even used in restaurants!

Resistance Against Temperature Changes: A dish or stew pot should be able to withstand wide variations in temperature. Our ceramics allow our products to be taken directly from the freezer to the hot oven (+250°C/500°F).

Resistance Against Fading Colours: Heat, the dishwasher or sharp instruments will all have an ageing effect on a product. Our glazes are particularly resistant to the dishwasher and the most aggressive of detergents.

Cleaning:

Emile Henry products are very easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. Burnt-on residue may be removed by pre-soaking the cookware for 10 minutes.

Heating the dish:

Slow heating is recommended.

Food cooked in clay dishes takes longer to heat than food cooked in metal due to differences in heat diffusion - usually around ten minutes longer.

Once on the table, your dish will retain its heat and thus keep your dish warm for a longer period of time.

A wide range of ovenware made from HR Ceramic (High Resistance), for use in the oven up to 270C (520F).
